Invoicing for Australian trades and small business

Send the invoice. It chases itself.

You do the work. This sends the invoice, takes the payment, and follows it up politely until the money lands. Four reminders, spaced out, and they stop the moment someone pays.

Thirty days of everything, free, no card. After that 3 invoices a month costs nothing, or $29 a month for up to 1,000.

The ladder nobody wants to climb

Most invoicing apps send one reminder, or none. What actually gets you paid is the follow-up, so it is switched on from your first invoice, at these days, saying this.

TWD-0042 $2,400 incl GST · 30 day terms

3days late
A nudgeFriendly, and it assumes the invoice slipped through.
"Just checking this one did not get missed."
10days late
A reminderThe invoice again, with the amount and the due date stated plainly and a link to pay.
21days late
A firm oneNames the days overdue and asks for a date rather than a promise.
"Could you confirm the date this will be paid?"
35days late
The last onePolite, final, and it says so. No bluffing, and nothing you would be embarrassed to have sent under your own name.

Then it stops emailing and puts the invoice on your phone list, which is where it belonged a fortnight ago.

What it does with a job

  1. Log the hoursTime it as you go, or type the day in at the end of it. Hours are priced at your rate, and a week of them is one press away from an invoice.
  2. Make the invoiceLine items, your ABN, GST if you are registered, terms that default to 30 days. Under a minute on a phone.
  3. Send itYour client gets the PDF and a payment link. They pay by card or Direct Debit, into your account.
  4. Forget about itThe ladder runs on its own, and you can stop it for one client in one tap when the job changed.
  5. Watch the moneyEvery payment recorded against its invoice, with the fee shown, and a report shaped for BAS.

The hours are the invoice

If you sell your time, the invoice starts on the timesheet. Press one button when you start, press it again when you finish, and it asks who the work was for. Or type the week in at once. Either way the hours are what the invoice is built from, so nothing gets typed twice.

One press bills a week

The week sits in front of you as seven days, each one opened when you want it. When the week is done, every client with hours waiting gets one button, and the button says what it will do before you press it: "Add 3 hours to TWD-0026" when a draft is already open for that week, or "Create an invoice for this week" when it is a new one.

Hours are priced at your rate, and an edit follows through: change a day that is already on a draft and the draft's line changes with it. Take a line off an invoice by hand and those hours come back to the timesheet, unbilled, rather than disappearing. An invoice that has already gone out is left exactly as the client received it.

Two plans, one decision

Start with thirty days of everything on. When it ends, never pay anything if three invoices a month is your business, and move up when it stops being enough.

Free, forever

$0

  • 3 invoices a month
  • The full chasing ladder on every one
  • The timesheet, and one press to bill a week of it
  • Card and bank transfer details on the invoice
  • No card, nothing to cancel

Why this one exists

It was built for a working Australian business and used on its own invoices before anyone else's. If it does not work for a tradesperson standing in a ute at 4pm, it does not ship.

The money never touches us

Card payments go through your own Stripe account and bank transfers go straight to your bank. There is no wallet to top up, no float, and we take no percentage of what you are owed.

Before you sign up

Is the invoice a proper Australian tax invoice?
Yes. Your ABN is on it, GST is applied only if you are registered, and it carries the fields the ATO asks a tax invoice to have.
What happens after the four reminders?
Email stops and the invoice moves to your phone list with the number ready. No fifth email, no debt collector, and no template threat you would not carry out.
Can the chasing be turned off?
Yes, for one client or one invoice in a tap, and it picks up again if you turn it back on.
Do I have to use the timesheet?
No. You can make an invoice line by line and never open it. It is there for the work you sell by the hour: the clock on the home screen for the job in front of you, or the week typed in at once, and then one press to bill it.
Can I keep it on my phone?
Yes, and there is no app store involved. In Chrome on Android it offers to add itself to your home screen; on an iPhone, tap Share in Safari and choose Add to Home Screen. It then opens full screen, on your invoice list, like any other app.
What does it cost after the free month?
$29 a month for up to 1,000 invoices a month, or three invoices a month for nothing, forever. No card is required to start either way.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Payments export as CSV, and your invoices, clients and history are yours to take when you leave.

Send one invoice and see what happens

It costs nothing to find out whether the chasing works on your worst payer.
